Good news first: CC is one of the gentler codes in the Daikin fault table. Here is what it means and how to decide what to do about it.
What CC means
Daikin code CC indicates a humidity sensor system malfunction. The sensor that reads moisture levels for comfort features has stopped reporting properly. In Daikin’s own severity terms this is a low severity fault: your aircon will usually keep cooling, and there is no risk to the compressor from the sensor itself. The full fault table is in our Daikin error codes guide.
What it actually affects
The humidity sensor feeds Daikin’s comfort and auto modes. With it faulty, dehumidifying performance and auto mode decisions get less accurate, the unit may feel less clever about muggy days, which in Singapore is most days. Cooling in normal cool mode typically continues fine. So CC is less a breakdown and more a feature running blind.
What you can safely try
The standard reset: off at the breaker, five minutes, restart. Sensor glitches sometimes clear. If CC returns, the sensor genuinely needs attention, but you decide the urgency, not the code.
Fix now or fix later?
Honest answer: if you mostly run cool mode at a set temperature, you can live with CC until your next scheduled servicing and have it looked at then, no emergency call needed. If you rely on dry mode or auto mode daily, fix it sooner. A humidity sensor is an inexpensive part, and we will confirm the diagnosis before replacing anything, because a wiring connection issue can throw the same code and costs almost nothing to fix.
What it costs
Sensor-class repairs sit at the light end of the price list, diagnosis plus an inexpensive part. Rates are published on our aircon repair in Singapore page. If a technician quotes you heavy money for a CC code, ask them exactly what failed, then feel free to ask us for a second opinion.
