Repairs We Handle

Every common aircon fault

PCB to compressor, capacitor to drainage — if it's an aircon problem, we've fixed it before. Hundreds of times.

PCB / Circuit Board Failure

Aircon won't turn on, behaves erratically, or throws random error codes. Most often caused by power surges or aged components.

Replace board · 1–2 hour fix once part arrives
🔧

Compressor Problems

Outdoor unit hums but doesn't start, trips the breaker, or runs but produces no cooling. Compressor is the engine of the system.

Higher ticket repair · we'll advise repair vs replace
🌬️

Fan Motor Failure

Indoor blower not spinning, outdoor fan not turning, or weird noises during operation. Bearings wear out or the motor coils burn out.

Direct replacement · 1–2 hours
💧

Water Leakage

Water dripping from the indoor unit. Could be drainage blockage, frozen coil from low gas, ice melt, or a cracked water tray.

Often $80–$150 fix once cause is found
🔋

Capacitor / Contactor

Compressor humming but not starting, or fan struggling to spin up. Capacitors and contactors fail with age — straightforward to replace.

Common & quick fix · usually same-day
🚰

Drainage Blockage

Slime and dust eventually clog the drainage line. Causes water leaks and that musty aircon smell. Pipe gets vacuumed clear.

Quick fix · same-day
🌡️

Sensor / Thermistor Issues

Aircon doesn't read temperature correctly, cools too long or too short, or shows error codes related to sensor faults.

Sensor swap · 30–60 minutes
📱

Remote Control Issues

Remote not responding, unit ignoring commands, or signals only working at point-blank range. Usually the receiver, not the remote.

Receiver replacement or remote pairing
🔌

Electrical & Wiring Faults

Tripped breakers, burnt connections, loose wiring causing intermittent operation. We trace it back to the actual fault, not just reset and pray.

Our Warranty Policy

The honest truth about aircon parts warranty

Most companies promise "warranty" without explaining the reality of the Singapore parts market. We tell you exactly what's covered.

Repair jobs

30-Day Labour Warranty

If the same fault returns within 30 days because of our workmanship, we come back at no charge. Full stop.

  • Same fault returning under 30 days
  • FOC return visit & reinstall
  • No diagnosis fee on return
New installations

1-Year Workmanship + FOC Parts

New installations come with a full 1-year warranty — workmanship AND parts FOC during that period. Different beast from repair jobs.

  • 1 year on workmanship
  • Parts replaced FOC if defective
  • Covers all install-related issues
The reality on parts: Aircon replacement parts in Singapore — capacitors, PCBs, motors — generally don't come with a manufacturer warranty (even brand new ones). Suppliers won't replace a part that fails after install. Companies that promise "full part warranty on repairs" are usually quietly absorbing that cost in the price they charge you. We'd rather be upfront so you know what you're paying for.

We diagnose first

You won't pay for a "compressor replacement" when it's actually a $30 capacitor. We tell you what's actually broken.

Quote on the spot

No vague estimates. We tell you the exact repair cost before doing any work — and you decide whether to proceed.

Repair vs replace honesty

If your unit's not worth saving, we'll say so. Better to spend on a new install than throw money at a dying compressor.

The Lion City Process

How an aircon repair job actually works

No guesswork, no surprise bills. Here's exactly what happens from your first message to a working aircon.

1

You WhatsApp or call us

Tell us what's wrong — "aircon won't turn on," "water dripping," "tripping the breaker." We'll give you a rough sense of likely causes.

2

Schedule a troubleshooting visit ($60)

Most customers don't actually know which part is faulty. Our technician comes down to find out for sure — and rule out unnecessary work.

3

We diagnose on-site

Test the PCB, motors, sensors, capacitors, gas pressure, electrical connections and drainage. Full system check, not just the obvious bit.

4

We tell you what we found

Plain English explanation of what's faulty, why it failed, and whether there's a connected issue you should know about. No upsell scripts.

5

We quote the repair

Exact cost based on parts and labour. If parts need to be ordered, we'll tell you the timeline. You decide whether to proceed.

6

If you proceed — $60 waived

The diagnosis fee comes off the total. You pay for the actual repair only. Most fixes are completed same-day for in-stock parts.

7

We do the repair properly

Replace the faulty component, test the unit, run the cycle, verify the fault is gone before we leave. Site is left clean.

8

30-day labour warranty kicks in

If the same fault comes back within 30 days due to our workmanship, we return at no charge. Saved as a record on our system.

Repair or Replace?

When fixing makes sense — and when it doesn't

A blunt guide to whether your aircon is worth repairing. We'll tell you on-site, but here's how we think about it.

🛠️ Repair makes sense if

  • Unit is under 7 years old
  • Fault is a low-cost part — capacitor, sensor, drainage, contactor
  • Unit was performing well until this failure
  • It's a fan motor or PCB on a 5–8 year old unit
  • Repair cost is under 30% of a new install

🆕 Replace might be smarter if

  • Unit is 10+ years old and needs a compressor
  • Multiple components have failed in the last 12 months
  • System has had repeated leaks despite top-ups
  • Repair cost is over 50% of a new install
  • Unit is a discontinued brand with hard-to-source parts

Common Questions

Aircon repair FAQ

Quick answers to what most Singapore homeowners ask before booking.

How much does aircon repair cost in Singapore?
Repair costs vary too much to quote a flat price online — a $40 capacitor replacement is very different from a $600 compressor swap. We start with a $60 troubleshooting visit to diagnose the actual fault, then quote the repair on the spot. The $60 fee is waived if you proceed. Most common residential repairs (capacitors, contactors, sensors, drainage) fall between $80–$300. Bigger ticket items like compressors and PCBs run higher and depend heavily on brand and parts availability.
What kinds of aircon repairs do you handle?
Anything aircon-related: PCB / circuit board faults, compressor failures, fan motor replacement, water leaks, capacitor and contactor replacement, drainage pipe blockage, sensor and thermistor issues, remote control problems, electrical wiring faults, and refrigerant gas issues. If the unit can be saved, we'll fix it. If it can't, we'll tell you honestly.
Do you offer any warranty on aircon repairs?
Yes — every repair comes with a 30-day labour warranty. If the same fault returns within 30 days due to our workmanship, we come back at no charge. We have to be straight about parts though: in Singapore, replacement aircon parts don't come with a manufacturer warranty (even brand new ones), so we can't promise a part won't fail prematurely. The labour warranty covers our work; the part is what it is. For new installations we offer a 1-year workmanship warranty with FOC parts during that period.
How does the $60 troubleshooting fee work?
We charge $60 for a diagnosis visit because most customers don't actually know what's wrong — they just know the aircon isn't working right. Our technician comes down, runs full diagnostics, and tells you exactly what's faulty and how much it'll cost to fix. If you proceed with the repair, the $60 is waived completely. If you decide not to repair, the $60 covers the visit and our time.
Why do parts in Singapore not come with a warranty?
It's an industry reality, not a Lion City policy. Replacement parts in the Singapore aircon market — capacitors, PCBs, motors, even brand-new ones — generally come without a manufacturer warranty. Suppliers won't replace a part that fails after installation. Companies that promise full part warranties on repairs are usually quietly absorbing the cost themselves and pricing it into the repair. We'd rather be upfront.
Can you repair my aircon if it's still under the original manufacturer warranty?
Yes, but it depends on whether the issue is covered under the manufacturer warranty. We can take a look and let you know. If the fault is something the manufacturer should cover, we'll tell you to claim it through the original installer or brand authorised service centre — we don't want you paying us for something that's already covered.
How long does an aircon repair take?
Depends entirely on the fault. Capacitor or contactor replacement: 30–60 minutes. Drainage pipe clearing: 30–45 minutes. Fan motor swap: 1–2 hours. PCB replacement: 1–2 hours plus parts ordering time. Compressor replacement: half a day. We tell you the timeline before starting work.
Do you stock parts on the truck?
We carry common consumables — capacitors, contactors, basic sensors, drainage materials — so we can do many repairs same-day. Larger parts like specific PCBs, fan motors and compressors usually need to be ordered, especially for less common brands. We'll tell you on the spot if it's a same-day fix or a follow-up visit.
Should I repair or replace my old aircon?
Honest answer: depends on the unit's age and what's failing. If a 12-year-old unit needs a $700 compressor swap, we'll usually recommend replacement instead — you'll get more years out of a new install with a 1-year warranty. If it's a $100 capacitor on a 6-year-old unit, repair makes obvious sense. We tell you on-site, no upsell.
Do you handle commercial aircon repairs?
Yes — F&B, retail, small offices and VRV/VRF systems for landed properties. Commercial repairs are quoted on assessment due to the variation in equipment. WhatsApp us with your system details and we'll arrange a site visit.
Which areas in Singapore do you cover for aircon repair?
All of Singapore — HDB, condo, landed and small commercial. From Tampines and Bedok to Woodlands and Jurong, anywhere on the island. Same-day visits are usually available for emergency repairs.
