Before trusting any code table, find the model sticker. It is on the side or underside of the indoor unit, and on the side panel of the outdoor condenser. The model number tells us which OEM platform your unit is built on, and therefore which code table applies.

Common EuropAce Split System Codes
Most EuropAce split systems sold in recent years follow the same protection code scheme used by major Chinese platforms (the current TR32-series models on the market are Gree-platform builds). If your unit matches, these are the usual meanings:
E1: High Pressure Protection
Refrigerant pressure too high. Usual causes: dirty outdoor condenser (#1 in Singapore), blocked outdoor airflow, overcharged gas, failed pressure switch.
What to do: Clean the outdoor unit first. If E1 persists, professional check. Severity: High.
E2: Anti-Freeze Protection
The indoor coil is freezing up: dirty filters, low gas, or blocked airflow.
What to do: Clean filters first. If it returns, the coil or gas needs attention. Severity: Medium.
E3: Low Pressure Protection

E4: Compressor Discharge Temperature Protection
Compressor running too hot. What to do: Switch off, call a technician. Severity: High.
F Codes: Sensor Faults
F codes on Gree-platform EuropAce units indicate temperature sensor faults or refrigerant issues (F0). Sensors are among the cheaper fixes, from $130.

Casement and Portable Units
EuropAce casement and portable aircons use different, simpler code sets, and they vary by batch too. Common ones include water-full alerts and sensor faults.
